Dr. K.S Krishna Kumar, a distinguished plastic surgeon, completed his MBBS and MCh from Trivandrum Medical College and MS from KMC Mangalore. Pursuing further training in the UK, he achieved FRCS in Plastic Surgery and joined the UK Specialist Register. He also completed a Hand & Microsurgery fellowship at the prestigious Christine M. Kleinert Institute in the USA. Returning to India, Dr. Kumar established the first modern plastic surgery unit in Malabar, renowned for handling complex cases in microvascular surgery, cancer reconstruction, and hand injuries. His introduction of health tourism and an advanced burns unit has saved countless lives through innovative techniques. A respected trainer and examiner, he has lectured internationally, including being the first Indian plastic surgeon invited to Pakistan’s national conference. Dr. Kumar has earned multiple awards, holds editorial roles in prominent journals, and contributes actively to international charity work, including “Operation Smile.” His publications include a chapter in the *Bailey & Love Companion Guide.*
